First Reading: Ecclesiastes 3: 1–8, 11 Dominic Valenzuela
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; A time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to seek, and a time to lose; A time to keep, and a time to throw away; A time to tear, and time to sew; A time to keep silent, and a time to speak; A time for war, and a time for peace. God has made everything suitable for its time.
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 23: 1–6
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. In verdant pastures He gives me repose; beside restful waters, He leads me; He refreshes my soul. He guides me in right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk in the dark valley I fear no evil; for You are at my side With your rod and your staff that give me courage. You spread the table before me in the sight of my foes; You annoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Only goodness and kindness follow me all the days of my life; And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord for years to come.
Second Reading: 2 Timothy 4: 6–8 S. Paige Rosas
For I am already being poured out like a libation, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have competed well; I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the just judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but to all who have longed for His appearance.
